Welcome to the website of the interdisciplinary and inter-university research project "Forms of public sociality in 20th-century urban Greece: associations, networks of social intervention and collective subjectivities". The project is based at the University of Crete and is conducted in collaboration with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the University of the Aegean, as well as with researchers from the National Hellenic Research Foundation (Greece), the Democritus University of Thrace (Greece), Brown University (USA) and Boğaziçi University (Turkey). It is co-funded by the European Union (European Social Fund) and Greece. It is part of the action "THALES - Support of the interdisciplinary and/or inter-institutional research and innovation with the potential to attract researchers of high standing from abroad through the carrying out of basic and applied research of excellence". The project will be completed in autumn 2015.
